ABOUT SCOTT COOK
I was born July 24th, 1992, in Houston Texas. Growing up along the Gulf, I had an early interest in weather, due to the threat of hurricanes from the Gulf. It was what sparked my interest in knowing how the atmosphere worked. I chose to go to A&M because of their outstanding program in Atmospheric Science. During my time at the University, I interned at the local station KBTX for one semester, and learned a lot about the mechanics behind making a good forecast, and the responsibilities of maintaining an online presence, that I still use today.
Graduated in the class of 2014, I then took a job in Abilene, TX, with the local station KRBC. Here, I developed my broadcasting personality and was given the responsibility of producing a franchise piece "Do My Job", where I went around the Big Country and did people's jobs. In this franchise, I was able to sharpen my abilities in front of and behind the camera.
